Overheard in the Newsroom was founded in January of 2009. The site features quotes overheard in newsrooms, all submitted by journalists, often laced with booze, blood and sexual tension. The Twitter feed was listed alongside Shit My Dad Says by Mashable.com for “Twitter Users That Crack Us Up” and won a Mashable.com Award for “Best Site for Journalists.” The site is managed by Kevin Cobb.
